An individual connected to Diamond Global and AIM Global has issued threats to the reporter responsible for the story and attempted to remove social media posts related to the investigation.
The investigation revealed troubling details about the project, which has swindled many Nigerians. In response, one of the individuals mentioned in the article, Margaret Dunga, who had provided testimony regarding an alleged breakthrough, texted the reporter on Tuesday, March 19. Dunga warned the journalist: “You are going to repent with tears on this,” referencing the report, and accused the story of defamation—an allegation that JoeyOffAir strongly denies.
The platform has since contacted its legal team and plans to file a police report in light of the threats. JoeyOffAir remains committed to its mission of reporting on issues of accountability, development, and social justice in the region.
